Tra la sua fauna selvatica pi\u00f9 iconica ci sono i lemuri, con il 95% dei 112 taxa di lemuri minacciati di estinzione. Ci\u00f2 \u00e8 dovuto principalmente alla perdita estrema di habitat. La Mananara \u00e8 una delle ultime foreste pluviali degli altopiani rimaste intatte in Madagascar e ospita 10 specie di lemuri, tra cui l\u2019indri e il sifaka diadema, entrambi in pericolo critico. forestale e riforestazione di Wildlife Madagascar mira a invertire la tendenza delle specie in via di estinzione attraverso: 1) il pattugliamento attivo della foresta con i membri della comunit\u00e0, 2) la creazione e l\u2019affissione di segnaletica intorno alla foresta e 3) il ripristino delle terre degradate lungo i confini di La Mananara e il collegamento di frammenti forestali isolati tramite la creazione di corridoi.   <\/p><p>I nostri sforzi di pattugliamento si concentreranno sul monitoraggio delle aree pi\u00f9 lontane dalla stazione sul campo e dalle principali aree di ricerca, aumentando la presenza per scoraggiare potenziali attivit\u00e0 illegali. I nostri sforzi di riforestazione daranno priorit\u00e0 alle aree identificate, tramite valutazioni della biodiversit\u00e0 e dell\u2019habitat, come critiche per il movimento delle specie e la installare segnaletica resistente alle intemperie lungo il perimetro della foresta.<\/p><p>Per la riforestazione, i fondi saranno utilizzati per coprire gli stipendi annuali di due assistenti del vivaio, oltre a fornire loro uniformi, attrezzatura antipioggia e scarponi da trekking.<\/p><p>I fondi saranno utilizzati anche per ampliare la capacit\u00e0 del vivaio
